History

Bellevue Heights Tennis Club is located 20km South of Adelaide and has been providing

Tennis facilities for Social and Competitive tennis, as well as coaching, since 1979.

We have six courts, four of which were resurfaced in 2004 and the remaining two courts

were updated in December 2006.

There are lovely, modern facilities including clubhouse, covered areas including a beautiful

vine covered pergola, playground and BBQ.

We have Senior and Junior teams competing in both Southern Districts and Glenelg Districts

Tennis Associations both in Winter and Summer Competitions catering for all abilities.

There is also a Midweek Ladies Competition played on Wednesdays, a Social Ladies group

played on Tuesday mornings and a Social Mixed Seniors group played on Friday mornings.

During daylight savings many members play socially in the evenings too.

Coaching is provided by Stan Swierk and all levels and abilities are catered for.

Bellevue Heights' members enjoy regular Social events, often on completion of the Saturday

afternoon competition, so come along and join our lively, friendly atmosphere,

make new friends and enjoy some Tennis.

How To Get Here

HOW TO GET HERE FROM SOUTH ROAD - travel up Sturt Road/Shepherds Hill Road to Sargent Parade,

which is on the right, 100m before the pedestrian traffic lights at Bellevue Heights Primary School.

Travel down Sargent Parade past Manson Oval which is on the left. The Tennis courts are

at the end of the oval, past the playground, you can't miss them.

News from our Secretary

Hope you are all enjoying the cold damp winter.

It is now time to be thinking about Summer tennis, and
what you are planning to do this year for your Summer tennis.

BHTC OPEN DAY is being held this year on SUNDAY 31 AUGUST

from 11.00am onwards.

We are so excited this year to have our own Ball Machine which we have purchased

from Grant monies we have obtained from both the Department of Recreation and Sport

and also a Telstra Grant, thanks to one of our long time members

and general good guy and committee member, John Schneider.

We will also have a Speed Gun and a free barbeque for all those attending.

Bring your whole family and all of your friends.

We would love to put in a few more teams this year for the summer season

but can only do it with your support.

Teams need to be applied for by early September.

So we need to know what your plans are by Open Day.
